PROMISED LAND LIVING

My family and I live in what we have come to refer to as “Paradise”. And recently our paradise (Panama City Beach, Florida) has been threatened by an oil spill far surpassing our worst imagination.

For some 80 days or so, millions of gallons of oil have spilled into the gulf on a daily basis – threatening the fish of the seas and the birds of the air and human life as we know it from Texas to the Florida Keys. And smack in the middle of that – in what some officials have called “the Bulls Eye” – sits our home town.

When this event first happened, I began seeking God. I asked Him “How bad is it”. His response to me was simple “Do you really want to know?” This comment scared me and I held back from pressing in.

I then began asking him “What should we do?” And he gave me a vision – I saw a dead fish (the Christian symbol with an X for the eye) and a cross standing next to it. I understood immediately that “When you see the dead fish, then you will know what to do.”

But I did not understand why it was a Christian symbol, and the cross was out side it (I have seen the symbol with the cross as the eye). So I began pressing in for greater understanding.

We are now some 50+ days from that vision, and I have not yet seen the dead fish. As of this writing, our paradise is outside the effected area, and we have seen very little oil coming ashore. Our tourists are still mostly here, and life is fairly normal.

Normal except for the fact that the government is building a fancy boom system to protect our bay, and BP has rented 3 very large parking areas to stage equipment ranging from heavy trucks, etc to light weight boom. It appears to me that they (whoever “they” are) are expecting the oil to come back and still hit what they have termed “the bulls eye”.

But with all thats happened, and all the news – I have continued to pray and press in and ask God two things: “Why was the cross outside the fish?” and ‘Why aren’t there any prophets or others saying anything about the oil?”

I have read the Hoppi Indian prophesy and it _could_ be right – but its not of God, so I discard it. I have searched and searched for prophetic words from others and I have found 3 basic themes and a very limited number of postings on-line….

1 – The oil is a call to America to humble itself.
2 – The oil is a warning to President Obama because he abandoned Israel.
3 – Bob Jones prophesied an oil spill and 2 hurricanes in the year after Oral Roberts Died (see theme #1).

So – I have pressed in and wondered as are others – “Why does there seem to be a famine in the Land of God’s spoken word? Why is no one telling us about the oil and what God is saying?”

And now I know why….
God is not speaking because He has nothing to say. You see He has spoken to me, and what He has said is this: “The cross is outside the fish because I am not in it.”

God is not in the oil spill. He did not do it nor cause it to happen. It did not happen because our president neglected Israel. It is not hitting Texas and not here because our prayers are more effective than theirs. It is what it is because mankind screwed up. It is going where it is going because the natural winds and currents are making it. Bottom line – it is not of God, for God or by God. He is not in it.

Where is God? Sitting on His throne watching over us. Fulfilling His Word – “All things work for the good of those that love Him”.

In the end, we will be victorious. Right now – its out of our hands. BP and our governement need to figure out what to do – and then we will recover because God is for us, what can man do to us!

And why a famine in the land of God’s spoken words? That ones easy – He got tired of all these folks saying “God said” when He hasn’t. He got tired of all the Christians – yes believers – saying He said something because the end justifies the means.

Most of us don’t want to admit it, but how many prophecies have you gotten that your now pretty sure never came from the father? How many big name and no name people have said to you “God says…” and in the end, it wasn’t God. How many times have pastors and teachers, husbands and wives heard “God said…” and everyone really knew (but couldn’t fight it) that it probably wasn’t Him.

Well – God got tired of it. He grew weary and now we are seeing the fulfillment of Amos 8 and 9. Not because it is the end of our time, but rather because God IS messing with the economies of the world. He grew tired and weary of all the people saying “God said” and misusing His name, and his methods. He has grown tired and weary of bad scales, false economies, wrong systems of measure, and now its all in upheavel. He got tired of everyone everywhere saying “God said..” ranging from the local man or woman saying something that wasn’t him, to the leader of a sect saying “Cut off their heads”.

Where is God – on His throne.

Last week I was seeking the Lord regarding the BP Oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. I was asking God “where is it going?”

His response… “Do you really want to know?”

I have not pressed further. But my heart is very very heavy, and I fear we may be heading to an extremly serious and devestating future for thousands of folks and hundreds of towns. I fear we may be seeing an econoomic devestation unlike any other, and an environmental castrophie that none can match.

I sense we need a miracle. A miracle that removes the oil. We do not want the oil to go anywhere else – we NEED it to go away.

Is the Coast Toast?
This is what I heard yesterday as I was discussing the situation with my wife and Apostle Mike. As I said it, it hit me strong – like a prophetic utterance…

I do not know – but I do know – it seems no other Christian that I can locate has spoken of it.
I have found Hoppi Indian prophecies about a black ocean….
But not a word from other prophets.
In fact, to me – it seems that the Prophetic Voices that were abounding 2 years ago have gone away. It seems no on really speaks for God anymore. The magazines that were big, are now slowly dying away. The big churches seem to be shrinking, the voices less heard.

Is The Coast Toast?
I hope not. I pray not. I can not fathom the extent of this problem – but 18 million barrels and counting has to go somewhere…

Pray for us sinners. Now and at the hour of our death.

Recently I had a conversation via email with a fellow brother and believer. He and I were discussing prosperity. And we all know how the very concept of getting rich and being a Christian seems to contradict each other and cause strife.

Today as I was praying, the Holy Spirit spoke to my spirit and said: “Its not about having money, its about having the ability to do the things you want.”
Now, I can not speak for everyone out there, but I can speak for myself… what is it I want?

- To feed my family. To clothe and protect them. To not get into debt, but to keep the debt I do have paid. To have a nice car (one I enjoy driving and does not nickel and dime me). To have food on the table and in the fridge. To run my air conditioner and to enjoy a time of rest (vacation) a few times a year.

- To do the things God tells me to do. To live and act like a true Christian. To support local missions. To be a giver and help others when in need. To be able to give to help those that need help. To support local and global organizations that are meeting the needs of others and sharing the love of Christ.

- To do what my heart (or God) says when it (or He) says it.

You see – its not about the money – its about having the ability to be a generous person at every opportunity given you (2 Cor. 9:11). To your family, your neighbors, to others. And isn’t this what we all want?

As I was praying earlier today – the Lord spoke to my spirit and said “The year 2010 will go down in history as ‘The Year of Uncertainty’”.

I post this message to encourage all believers – even in these times of uncertainty, you are certain of God’s plans for you. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ”
Jer 29:11 (NIV)

As mankind searches for peace, stability and understanding – we face a certain future.
As mankind seeks out how to be more green, and keep the earth safe – we face a certainty.
As mankind strives to make sense of evil, financial lack or profit, health care and more – we run the race with certainty.
As mankind wonders about the end. About 2012, Armagedon, terrorists and more – we face each day with the certainty of knowing – God is with us.

In this year of uncertainty, one thing remains certain – Jesus Christ.
“Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his affairs with justice.
Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever.
He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.”

For mankind – The Year of Uncertainty.
For the rest of us – The Year of Being Certain.

Then you replied, “We have sinned against the Lord. We will go up and fight, as the Lord our God commanded us.” So every one of you put on his weapons, thinking it easy to go up into the hill country.
But the Lord said to me, “Tell them, ‘Do not go up and fight, because I will not be with you. You will be defeated by your enemies.’”
So I told you, but you would not listen. You rebelled against the Lord’s command and in your arrogance you marched up into the hill country. The Amorites who lived in those hills came out against you; they chased you like a swarm of bees and beat you down from Seir all the way to Hormah. “To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”
1 Sam 15:22 (NIV)

If God has spoken to you to do something – and you are certain its from Him, then do it. If for someo reason you determine its better not to, and He rebukes you – do NOT try to do it after the fact, as God may not be with you.

The Israelites had to walk in sacrifice for 40 years because they did not do as God said, but rather used worldy wisdom to determine that what God wanted must have been wrong. But when Moses reprimanded them – they changed there mind… and so apparently did God! And He said – if you go and fight now “I will not be with you!”

Be obedient to the voice of God. Do what He tells you – and you will avoid sacrificing. If He says “Pay that bill” and you do not – don’t try to fix it later, it won’t work. If He says “Buy that stock. or Start that business or Write that book or Start that church – don’t allow the wisdom of men to convince you otherwise. DO IT NOW!

About 2 weeks ago I heard these words: “Something you prophesied is getting ready to happen.”

Since that time I have experienced a series of dreams that all relate back to that statement from the Holy Spirit. The dreams all have a similar thread – destruction in relation to family.

I have sought the Lord repeatedly regarding this, and I sense that what God is showing me is this: there is a terrorist atack being planned for a place frequented by families in the USA.

Each of my dreams has involved myself (parent) with at least one young child (family) and some sort of “elevator” (which I understood could be an elevator or a ride of some type), and taller buildings (but not a city). In each of these dreams I would be with one or more children, and we would be watching the buildings and surrounding areas burning. There were many other families there and many many people – all watching and thinking what we were thinking – “wow, we just missed that.” I can not say that I saw anyone badly hurt or killed, so we may be heading for a near miss.

Unfortunatly, I do not know the location or timing for this attack, but based on God’s initial statment to me, it is in active planning.

Please keep our country in prayer.

UPDATE: although I did not understand it to be inside a city, in hindsight I believe that this was what God had showed me. It is usually very difficult to completly understand a dream or vision, as we make assumptions based on our own understanding of what things mean. This is humanity coming to play, and why you should always rely on Christ for your final decisions – not on any man or his/her interpretation of things. Aside from the one thought that it was “not a city”, the complete picture seems to show the recent bomb plot in Times Square. My dream showed tall buildings and lots of construction..

Yesterday my wife and I and Apostle Mike went to see the movie “Greenzone”. First, this is an excellent movie – very well done and very realistic. Definatly a movie worth seeing.

That said – as we left the theatre, I began to ponder Iraq and its WMD’s. I recalled that in the early days of the Iraq war, God had given me a very specific prophecy via sctipture that literally came to pass. I felt drawn back to this scripture to take a look at the outcome of the Iraq war, and its future.

Now a man of God came to Eli and said to him, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Did I not clearly reveal myself to your father’s house when they were in Egypt under Pharaoh? I chose your father out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod in my presence. I also gave your father’s house all the offerings made with fire by the Israelites. Why do you scorn my sacrifice and offering that I prescribed for my dwelling? Why do you honor your sons more than me by fattening yourselves on the choice parts of every offering made by my people Israel?’ “Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that your house and your father’s house would minister before me forever.’ But now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained. The time is coming when I will cut short your strength and the strength of your father’s house, so that there will not be an old man in your family line and you will see distress in my dwelling. Although good will be done to Israel, in your family line there will never be an old man. Every one of you that I do not cut off from my altar will be spared only to blind your eyes with tears and to grieve your heart, and all your descendants will die in the prime of life. “And what happens to your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, will be a sign to you–they will both die on the same day. I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his house, and he will minister before my anointed one always. Then everyone left in your family line will come and bow down before him for a piece of silver and a crust of bread and plead, “Appoint me to some priestly office so I can have food to eat.” 1 Sam 2:27-36 (NIV)

This is the scripture God gave me a few years ago, and I believe it shows Saddam’s past, and how God chose him to bring Iraq into the future. However, because of his growing disdain for God and for Israel, and how he allowed his sons to become ruthless, God cut him off.

And what God said would happen: “‘And what happens to your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, will be a sign to you–they will both die on the same day. “ literally happened.

This was a sign to me of the correctness of the word, and a sign to Saddam that God had turned against him. And what happened to Eli is what happened to Saddam – “His neck was broken and he died” 1 Sam 4:18 (NIV)

So what about the WMD?
In Samuel 4, it speaks of the war, and how the Philistines (the allies) captured the Ark of the Covenant. I believed at the time – and still do – that this was a prophetic word that Weapons of Mass Destruction did exist in Iraq. I personally believe they were re-routed to Syria, however that is not prophetic, it is mearly an opinion. But – I believe without a doubt God has shown that WMD did exist there.

And what about Iraq’s future?

“I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his house, and he will minister before my anointed one always.” 1 Sam 2:35 (NIV)

This is the future of Iraq. God is raising up a leader inside Iraq – one of Iraq’s own people. And he will raise Iraq and its people from the darkness and bring Iraq into the future that God has in store. They will become a prosperous nation – a nation that has leadership that stands with God.

To the Iraq’s – have faith, stand firm, remain strong – God is on your side.
To the Americans and all others that stood with them - you did good, do not allow the enemy to tear you down or turn you from knowing this in your heart. Regardless of political feelings towards President Bush or Tony Blair, they did as God directed and for that they will be honored.
To Believers everywhere – let us stand firm with the Iraqs. they need our prayers. For God is at work in this nation.

Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward of the righteous. A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous. A poor man’s field may produce abundant food, but injustice sweeps it away. Prov 13:21-23 (NIV)

The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp and entered one of the tents. They ate and drank, and carried away silver, gold and clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered another tent and took some things from it and hid them also. 2 Kings 7:8 (NIV)

This morning as I was ministering online, my attention was brought to our site – www.eXtremeProsperity.org – and a statement on it concerning the wealth of the wicked. It hit my spirit very hard that the scriptures state that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for us., and that we are to take the wealth of the wicked and hide some of it before telling others.

The Holy Spirit then began to show me that we – believers – are at the edge of the camp. That we – believers in this truth of scripture – are about to enter the camp of the wicked, and have before us opportunities to take and hide the wealth – to store it up for ourselves.

I am here this morning to prophesy to the nations – the global economic downturn is about to begin to end, and the upturn is just over the horizon. BUT – this upturn will not be seen by the average “sinner”. the governements will continue to push their socialist agendas, and try to keep the people inside the compund. they themseleves may say the future looks good, but their actions will deny this.

But for the believer – NOW is the season to begin to start your businesses, impliment your ideas, increase your “seed sown” (not to others but to your own future) – as God is telling us – get the wealth NOW. In the coming days, weeks, months and yes – years, the tide will turn and you – yes you says the Lord – are in a unique time in history, and this is your time – your chance – to make it.

If you doubt that God wants you to have more than enough – then this word is not for you, and you will find yourselves reaping the reward of the future only if you survive the current situation (read 2 Kings 7). But if you do believe “Why sit we here till we die?“, then this word and its fulfillment is for you.

Here is the bottom line as I see it:

• The governement is not going to help end this crisis. Their hands are tied.
• For those willing to take the message, you are at the edge of the recession.

This evening I was reading about the devestation in Haiti. My heart goes out to them. 200,000 dead…

I began to pray “Lord, is this a sign of the end of days?”

I then immediatly heard clearly in my spirit the same words God had spoken to me just a few weeks ago:
“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.” Matt 24:6 (NIV)

No – I did not prophecy the earthquake in Haiti. But clearly, God knew what was to come. He knew that this event and others would have an effect on people, and they would begin to ask – are the movies right? Is 2012 the end? Are we in the end of days?

And God as always points us to our roots – our foundation – the Word of God.
“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.” Matt 24:6 (NIV)
Such things must happend…
The end is not yet –

I spent the last few weeks of 2009 seeking the Lord for a “word” for 2010. In years past, I would do what everyone else did – rhyme a phrase with the year. Something like “Do it again in 2010″, or “do something great in 2008″. But this year, I determined to be different – to only share what God says.  No gimmicks, no catchy phrase. just God’s word.

One evening while seeking the Lord, I asked specifically for the word for 2010. He then showed me a vision.. I saw wars, tsunamis, famine, general upheavel in many areas.

I then said to God: “Lord, thats the same stuff that happens every year.” And He replied: “I know- thats my point.” I then heard this scripture in my spirit: “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.” Matt 24:6 (NIV)

And I understood what God was telling me…
In 2010 do not be afraid. The end is not come. There will be wars in many places. And rumors of wars will arise from many places – Israel, Iran, Iraq, Afganistan…

“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.” Matt 24:6 (NIV)

The war on Terror. The war on Drugs. The war against Swine Flue. All these reports will keep coming, and in many ways – seem to be even more pronounced and public than ever before.

But – Do Not Be Alarmed.

As the scriptures tell us:

• “Come to me all who are weary, and I will give you rest.” Matt 11:28
• “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 (NIV)
• “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:6-7 (NIV)

In closing – what does 2010 hold for us? The same as the last 10 years….

• Increase in communications technologies.
• Increase in rumors of wars in places we may not have paid attention to before
• Many many rumors surrounding our own government.
• New wars – both physical and scientific.
• Continued persecution of Christians.
• Many new “prophets” with “new” messages from God.
• New “revivals” rising up (short lived though).
• Continued and new famines.
• Earthquakes in places that have not seen them before (or are very rare).
• Increase in earthquakes in places one would expect.
• Increase in “sin”.
• A change in the message being preached (I believe the Greek indicates the message will change to one of Promised Land Living. The Greek indicates the “true message” of “royalty” must be preached. We are to live as royalty – controlling our surroundings, setting rules and regulations, prospering in all things).

And the end result – see you in 2011!
We’re heading into a season of struggles – and technological advances. And a shaking up of what many view as the Christian message.  But the end is not yet.
